For 2020, I’m going to do a daily challenge: carve and print something every day. It will either be out of soft cut or lino. Daily challenges have always been super terrifying because well, FAILURE is real. But I can see the value in doing this and there will be 366 (leap year) carves by the end. That will be epic. This will all be happening over on Instagram.
Here are some sweet holiday cards I printed for Bajillion Agency last week. Design by Rory Harms and printed by me on the C&P in GOLD ink. This combo could not be any better, could it? I used French Paper’s Contruction Blacktop paper in 100# for the cards. The envelopes are Stardream® 81# text smooth in antique gold. It’s always nice to collaborate with other talented designers.
I’m woefully behind in posting updates. Albany Days 2019 went by in a blur. This year, we printed a new fox linocut that I carved, a complimentary shoe shine sign for the cobbler next door, business cards for Kansas Woven Keepsakes and got a start on Holiday cards for this year! Whoop! It was a lot. Thanks for visiting me at Albany Days!
I’ve been experimenting with printing on fabric which means finding a better ink and also playing with Speedball soft cut because it is more bendy for fabric. This is a more mobile process that doesn’t require a press. It’s a bit easier to take on trips.
Printed this years seed packets for Growing Food, Growing Health (CMEF) to send out in their spring mailer! It’s always a fun project and this year recipients will be getting some seeds to grow beets. This is the smallest linocut I’ve done.
